A few helpful tips to keep your new granite and quartz countertops looking fresh

Sealing: Granite needs to be sealed to create a nonporous finish and protect it from stains. It should be re-sealed at least once a year.
Daily Care: When properly sealed, daily care is easy. Use a soft cloth to dust the surface, wipe it down with plain water or mild soap, and use a specially-formulated stone cleaner if needed.
Special Care: For oily stains, apply a paste made with baking soda and dish soap. For difficult stains or scratches, contact a stone care professional for repair.
Care of Custom Finishes: Different finishes like honed or leathered may require special care and a penetrating sealer to protect from stains, bacteria, and moisture.

Every Day: Wipe quartz countertops with a clean, soft cloth or sponge soaked in mild dish soap and warm water daily. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth or paper.

Do: Clean daily, wipe spills immediately, use coasters and cutting boards, and follow specific care instructions for custom finishes.
Don’t: Use harsh chemicals, mix chemicals, or abrasive cleaners that can damage the countertops.
